Job Description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our next-generation robot platform. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize deployment systems, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools to ensure seamless integration between our software and robotic platforms. Your contributions will be critical in enabling our robots to operate reliably and efficiently in real-world environments.
We anticipate that candidates for this role will have experience in DevOps practices within robotics, autonomous vehicles, embedded systems, or related fields. A portfolio demonstrating your work on infrastructure automation, deployment strategies, or system monitoring is expected when applying to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid development and deployment of robotic software.
- Engineer scalable containerization and deployment of software to robots, collaborating with software and research teams.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for robotic systems.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to integrate DevOps practices into the development lifecycle.
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met across all systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field – or equivalent industry experience.
- Work Experience: 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker).
- Strong coding skills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
- Understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.
Nice-to-have Skills
- Prior work experience with robotics (using ROS/ROS2 or otherwise) and/or embedded systems.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Knowledge of OS image building tools (e.g. Yocto, buildroot).

Compensation
$100k - $200k/yr, plus equity.
